The privacy of your personal data is a very important and key concern to us, with the handling and use of that data also governed by various laws.

Collection and use of your data

The nature and scope of the collection and use of your data differs depending on whether you are only using our website to obtain information (“Informational Use”), for example to browse its contents, or if you utilise services available on the website, for example purchase or register a product (“Service Use”).

Informational Use

This does not generally require the provision of personal data, and the data that is collected and used is that automatically transmitted by the visitor’s internet browser. This is done to allow you to use the retrieved web pages, for statistical purposes by us, and to improve our website. Please note that IP addresses are only saved for the duration of your visit and no personal analysis of the data takes place. 

Service Use

This does involve the collection of personal data, but only to the extent that is voluntarily and consensually provided by the website user, for example during the product purchasing or registration processes. We will use the collected data only for processing the contract. After completion of the transaction, your data will be blocked and deleted upon expiry of the retention obligations under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly agreed to further use of the data. Personal data will if necessary be transmitted to the third party service providers in order to provide the relevant service, for example to businesses we partner with for payment processing and product delivery to the customer.

Those registering for an account and / or SpaceGrill (“Registered Users”) will enjoy various benefits that other customers and users will not, including a personalised and tailored experience on our website. The following information is collected, saved and analysed in respect of Registered Users:

  • Registered product
  • Completed orders (this includes data provided when completing the order: phone number, delivery address*, billing address* and payment information)

Use of personal data for advertising and marketing purposes

The provision and use of data for advertising and marketing purposes will only be undertaken with the express consent of the relevant individual. That data will then only be used to present information about new barbecue-related products and events, and about SpaceGrill. This includes information about the current or future product range (such as barbecues, equipment, accessories, consumables, lifestyle, etc.) as well as about events and shows with the participation of SpaceGrill (e.g. trade fairs, one-time events). Marketing and advertising includes both print and digital print media, and includes email campaigns).

We will disclose your data to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply any terms of use of this web site or any terms and conditions, the supply of our goods or services to you, or other agreements we may have with you; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the company, our customers, or other third parties. Our website uses cookies. Use of Google AdWords

A further service used by our website is Google AdWords, which is an analytical service. If an advertisement displayed by Google is clicked on Google AdWords places a cookie for Conversion Tracking on the hard driver of your computer (“conversion cookies). Both Google and the AdWords’ customer can detect when you have been directed to that customer’s web page from such advertisements.  These conversion cookies are not used for personal identification and expire after 30 days. The information collected through the use of conversion cookies is used to create statistics for AdWords customers who can see the total number of users who have been directed to their website from a Google advertisement.

Social media plug-ins

Our website also uses social media plugins of the Facebook social network. For data protection reasons, we use on our website the “Shariff” option rather than direct plug-ins of social networks on our website. This allows you determine if and when user data will be transmitted to the provider of the social network. When you retrieve our web pages, your data is not automatically transmitted. This only occurs when you actually click on buttons, for example “I like.

Space Grill Limited secures your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. It also secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site.
